He is a thirty-six-year-old hardware store accounts manager, amateur theatre director, and somewhat openly gay man living in the untamed (and yet, incredibly boring) wastes of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
He is prone to bouts of extreme joy and despondency and at times only has the most tenuous grip on sanity and reality.
He has the soul of an artist but seems to have trouble seeing things through to completion.
His life is a perpetual work in progress, and is being constantly written on and shaped by his friends, family, enemies, and the people he meets from day to day.
He is in love with love but does not feel ready to let someone in enough to make them a life partner.
He is a man in limbo, not where he wants to be and unable to figure out how to get there.
